Our family had the pleasure of staying at Hostellerie des Château & Spa from June 2 to 5, 2025. Traveling from Far East Asia to a peaceful little village in Alsace was quite the adventure, because it is too far from my homeland.. (around 10,000km), all the staff here made us feel completely at home.

We absolutely loved the spa—it was such a relaxing treat, and each evening’s French dinner was deliciously memorable.

Above all, huge thank-you to the hotel manager and everyone on staff for going above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful.

Charming hotel with big spa area, however in the weekend the spa is super busy and full of people.
The rooms are big and comfortable. However for me there was missing the coffee machine/kettle in the room to make coffee or tea.
The breakfast had quality products, but I'm not sure if worth the price: 28Eur / person per breakfast.
However overall experience is very positive. I would like to visit it in the summer to use the outdoor pool.

Don’t book this hotel before reading this review!

I booked a one-night stay at this hotel through Booking.com. Right after completing the reservation, I realized I had mistakenly booked the wrong hotel.

I immediately contacted Booking.com, and they agreed to refund the money. However, the hotel refused to refund us, even though we explained that we were on the opposite side of France and unable to stay. They offered to let us come on a different night, but as tourists leaving the country in a few days, that wasn’t an option for us.

I don’t believe this is ethical business practice. It was an honest mistake, and we notified them right away, so they didn’t lose any potential customers. In fact, the hotel had vacancies that night, so it wasn’t like we reserved the last room.

Personally, I prefer not to do business with places that operate unethically, so I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

DO NOT BOOK. THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AS THEY WISH.

While looking at another hotel with a very similar name, we mistakenly made a reservation with this one instead. Immediately after, we reached out given that it wasn’t a change of mind, but rather an honest mistake.

Their response was very far from understanding and instead they were not willing to help.
We were neither close to the hotel nor going to be, so rescheduling wasn’t an option. We tried explaining the situation to them several times but the staff’s attitude was of complete disregard and instead took full advantage of the mistake.

Definitely not booking with them if we get back to France.

AVOID IF POSSIBLE. MUCH NICER OPTIONS AVAILABLE.

Had the most amazing time at Hostellerie des Chateaux with my husband. Had chosen this place to celebrate my birthday. We got a room with a beautiful view into the village and the horizon. Though charged extra they were able to arrange a bouquet, a cake to make my birthday special. The service during breakfast and especially dinner was outstanding. The staff showed great attention to detail and truly made us feel welcome. Where do I start about the food?! Each day indeed was a gastronomical treat with a 4-5 course meal ranging from the most simple to complex flavours all blending in beautifully.They were so kind to accomodate my request to make a few dishes vegetarian too. We also took full advantage of the spa there which was indeed a great attraction with a lot of sauna rooms, hamama, indoor heated pools with dynamic waterjets. We felt so relaxed after this weekend and hope to make it a ritual to go here every year.
