Hotel Eden Spa Honfleur

A lovely and cozy institution that provide a relaxing and comfortable environment in the heart of the Norman fields. The combination of restaurant and spa made it ideal for a calm retreat.

Have just stayed at this hotel absolutely stunning fantastic staff, and breakfast location and the rooms are clean and great size. Only thing they need is phones in the rooms incase of emergency with someone staying there. Would definitely come back

This hotel is perfectly placed to break our journey between London and our house in the Loire Valley. Outstanding room, size, furnishings, equipment etc, wonderful pool. Only marred by the apparent shortage of staff in the bar and restaurant where only 2 staff- albeit one of them super efficient- were trying to serve pre dinner drinks, take dinner orders and then serve in the restaurant. The reception staff said the hotel was full, but they were definitely only at 50%, at best, of the staff needed to make the evening experience match up to the standards of everything else, including the food coming out of the kitchen. This was not just the reaction of the impatient English, the mainly French guests were also looking around to order another drink while waiting an extended time to be taken through to dine. A great pity, maybe it's Covid related, but lets the overall experience down. We will go again and hope it was a one-off situation, and it was mentioned at check out.

This hotel was very, very disappointing. They wrote to me prior to our stay asking how they could make it perfect. Well they ignored everything that I requested - so that was a waste of time. I booked a table for supper and we arrived and they said NO - we don't have any space for you in the restaurant. No apology - nothing. They had not made us aware beforehand so were stuck as the hotel is not that close to other restaurants. They did book us into a sister hotel for supper when I pushed for help and that was ok - but really not great. We then were told that the restaurant would be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They had not made us aware of this beforehand. Even the bar was closed so we couldn't even get a drink after eating elsewhere. I found many of the staff surly and unhelpful. They set themselves up as wanting to go the extra mile but in truth we did not find this - they couldn't even help us with our luggage. We were staying with them to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary - which I had made them aware of (because they had asked in their pre-questionnaire) - but they certainly did not make us feel special, they did not offer even the minimum level of services that you would expect at a price they are charging. Another point to make is that the sea view is of Le Havre industrial site. So we cannot recommend this hotel in any way.

Lovely place to stay away from the city. Great service and tasty food.
